There are thousands way to increase our website’s visitor. We can do a lot of things to make it happen. One of the most common way is advertise our website through some advertisement agent, just like google adsense, adbrite, facebook ads, or any other brokerage.

Advertise our website is really helps, but it will not ever lasting. Once we stop the ads, then our website’s visitor will probably decreased rapidly. No matter what kind of website you maintain, less visitors automatically means less income.

The only way to make our website have a continuous visitor is doing some white-hat SEO (search engine optimization) into our website. It means that we do a legal way in order to achieve higher position in common search engine, such as google or yahoo. One of the most important thing regarding SEO, is having our website listed in some web directory. It could be DMOZ, which regarded as the most popular web directory nowadays.

Is it enough? Of course No. We still have to listing our website in another web directory as much as we can. I recommend Jasmine directory and Max directory for the alternative free directory. Actually, there is another world-class web directory, yahoo directory, but since it’s very difficult to get listed there (in same case we have to pay in order to be listed), I think those two “new-born” web directory can be some kind of alternative one.
