5. Open C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Cache\urls.xml using notepad or another text editor.

7. Change the file attribute to “Read Only”.

9. Extract the file inside, and replace the Yahoo Mesenger original exe file from C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe with the patch file you’ve just download.
