1. Open the registry.
- Windows XP user : click Start Button (at the bottom left) — click Run — type : regedit — click OK
- Windows Vista User : click Vista Orb (at the bottom left) — click the Start Search Dialog Box — type : regedit — press ENTER
2. In Registry Windows, find (Ctrl + F) this key : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\pager\Locale.
3. Change the value of “EnableMessengerAd” from 1 to 0.
4. Close your Yahoo Messenger 9 application.
5. Open C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Cache\urls.xml using notepad or another text editor.
6. Delete all values in the file.
7. Change the file attribute to “Read Only”.
8. Download Ad-Remover
9. Extract the file inside, and replace the Yahoo Mesenger original exe file from C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe with the patch file you’ve just download.
10. By now, you’ve just successfully remove Yahoo Messenger 9 Ads from your YM application. Launch your Yahoo Messenger 9, and enjoy your YM without ads at all.
